1. Brock Lesnar

The toughest man in WWE has to be Brock Lesnar. Much like Del Rio, he was an accomplished amateur wrestler and a successful mixed martial artist. Add to this an impressive size, power, speed and agility - and you have the man you would surely least like to get into a real fight with in the WWE. Lesnar is just a beast. He was a 2000 NCAA heavyweight wrestling champion who would have most likely competed at the Olympics had it not been for an attractive offer from the WWE. Upon signing with the WWE, Lesnar quickly developed a reputation as the "toughest" man on the roster. Kurt Angle couldn't resist putting this to test, and the two men had a shoot wrestle at some point in 2002. Kurt implies in his book that he won this, but puts over the sheer toughness of Lesnar. That toughness was again demonstrated a year later, when Brock and Kurt main evented Wrestlemania 19. In the match Lesnar blew a shooting star press, landing fully on his head. The move would have perhaps paralyzed a normal man, but such was the thickness and toughness of Brocks neck and shoulder muscles he escaped with only a concussion. A year later and the competitive fire for real action stirred in Brock. He pursued NFL football, and very nearly made it, missing out at the last hurdle of making the cut for the Minnesota Vikings team. Brock didn't cry or moan about it, he instead went after the booming sport of MMA. Debuting in Japan and then transitioning into UFC, Brock showed a ruthless aggression in his powerful performances. He became the UFC heavyweight Champion and set the UFC Pay per view box office record at over 1 million buys. The world was fascinated by the toughness of the "The Beast" Brock Lesnar. A serious gut disease did curtail Brock's MMA career, and in 2011 he returned to WWE. Nevertheless, despite internal surgery, Brock remains the tough guy he always has been. He has showed no signs of waning strength or speed in his wrestling bouts with Triple H, John Cena and CM Punk. To make it to the top of the UFC, you have to be beyond tough. Nobody on the entire WWE roster (with the possible exception of Del Rio) could ever dream of even making it to UFC. Brock Lesnar is the man, and when he is in the WWE dressing room, the roster know that they are in the presence of the toughest man in the WWE.
