WWE: 10 Most Silver Tongued On-Mic Performers in Wrestling History

7. Chris Jericho

ChrisJericho He rarely gained recognition for it, but even back in World Championship Wrestling, Chris Jericho was one of the most gifted talkers of his generation. The then "Lionheart" had only one goal, entice the crowd into hating him by any means necessary. Famous for several promos and skits including "The Man of 1,004 Holds," 950 of which are armbars, calling out Goldberg for three months straight and his conspiracy angle, it wasn't until WWE that Jericho's microphone work got its well deserved dues. Debuting on an episode of Raw by interrupting The Rock, Chris Jericho immediately stood out due to his charismatic and often hilarious promos. Initially he and The Rock would duel on the microphone, whether it be against one another or opposing someone, hilarity ensued. Jericho then gained notoriety for mocking Stephanie McMahon during both the McMahon-Helmsley Era and The Alliance angles. Whether it be as the "Ayatollah of Rock 'n Rolla" or the monotoned, slow speaking Chris Jericho of the late 2000's, "Y2J" has always delivered an effective promo of several genres. He can be stomach wrenching hilarious, deathly serious or be on hype central, Chris Jericho always delivers.
