WWE: 10 Real Controversies We Want The WWE Network To Cover

6. Sid Stabs A Horseman

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4A3dBVvCcLA Psycho Sid Vicious left the WWE in controversy when he allegedly failed a drug test prior to his WrestleMania 8 match with Hulk Hogan. After being told he was to serve a suspension for failing the test, he instead told the WWE he would quit instead. He spent a brief few months on the sidelines before signing with WCW in May of 1993. It would only be 5 months before controversy forced him out of another company. I don't know what it is about wrestlers and international tours but once again it was such a trip to the UK that things went wrong. As the story goes, the incident first started at a bar where Sid was drinking with Arn Anderson and various other WCW stars. Things became tense after one too many drinks were consumed eventually breaking into a huge argument between the two. Rumour has it that Arn insisted that Sid was not "Horseman" material while Sid claimed that Arn had never drawn a dime in the business. Things only got worse when they retreated to their hotel for the evening. As with any fight there are two sides to the story but the general gist is that Sid went to Arn's locker room and clocked him with an object, resulting in a struggle where both men went back and forth with a pair of scissors. Anderson was stabbed twenty times, while Sid was stabbed four or more times. When the violence was finally broken up, both men were rushed to hospital having lost a lot of blood. Sid was released by WCW as a result of the incident after numerous WCW stars threatened to quit due to his actions. Though Sid has spoken on numerous occasions about the incident on shoot interviews, Arn Anderson has never really gone into detail about what happened that night. His taking of the higher ground is admirable, but selfishly we would like to hear his side of the story. It's almost 100% definite that it would never happen but a WWE special on real backstage fights would be highly entertaining to watch. Who wouldn't want to see a re enactment of Shane Helms beating up Buff Bagwell?
