8. The Historic Ancestry

There is a nice historical relevancy in having Orton be the man to unify 50 years worth of wrestling history. Randy is himself a product of that history. Being a third generation wrestler means that Randy represents the blood of the industry. When the WWE's version of historic title heritage began there was an Orton in the industry. Now at the close of the two title era there is still an Orton in the industry - and he has claimed his blood right by being the man to unite the conflict of championships. Randy's grandfather was Bob Orton, and his dad is Cowboy Bob Orton. The legacy of over fifty years is Randy Orton. JBL described Randy at TLC as "the ultimate pro wrestler... if you were going to build a wrestler from the ground up it would be Randy Orton." We are seeing that product arrive to new heights as 2014 approaches. Orton has united the titles and has the historical ancestry and company power behind him. It was as if mother nature and fate always intended this to happen. John Cena has been around for about 15 years - but Orton's fore fathers helped build the very bones of the industry that Randy now stands champion of.
