WWE: 10 Reasons WCW Should Return In 2014

4. Re-Establish The World Championship

The World Heavyweight title has became a secondary title in the WWE. It is pretty much the equivalent of what the Intercontinental title was to the WWF title in the attitude era. WWE knows this. John Cena even referenced the lack of value in the World Title when he won it in October 2013, stating that he would "do everything in my power to bring back the focus and honor the WHC deserves." The problem is that it is always going to be viewed in comparison to the WWE title. A great way to get around this would be to bring back WCW, and have the world title rechristened the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. The belt is the same design as the old WCW title, so it would make logical sense. The championship would then have the brand uniqueness to stand in its own right alongside the WWE title. By being defended exclusively on WCW shows it would add prestige, and not just be a belt which is taken all over the place. WCW can give the world title the focus which John Cena has talked about.
