It's a proven fact and it's a trend in the company that isn't going to change if they think it'll help bring exposure, raise their profile, or make for a few entertaining segments. Sometimes it works and other times, it's just a mess. Remember Cheech and Chong hosting RAW? What about Jewel? The Hall of Fame is no different, and some questionable choices have been made in regards to WWE's Celebrity Wing. Pete Rose makes sense. Donald Trump, too! But ... Drew Carrey? What's even more astounding is the fact that Cyndi Lauper has not been inducted yet, a woman who helped WWE tremendously with the Rock n' Wrestling Connection as Wendi Richter's manager. This woman helped bridge the gap between the MTV audience and the WWE Universe. Had it not been for Lauper's involvement in the build up to the first WrestleMania, chances are WWE would've had a little bit of difficulty growing into the global phenomenon it is today. Why hasn't she been inducted already? No one really knows for sure! In 2012, Lauper (along with Richter) showed up on an edition of RAW where Lauper smashed a framed record over Heath Slater's head. She must not be opposed to the product or have any heat with the company to keep her from induction. This year, there is talk that WWE is trying to get Mr. T. to accept induction into the Hall of Fame for his involvement in the first WrestleMania main event. Should he refuse, I think there is a strong chance we could see Lauper be this year's celebrity inductee. After all, it is "thirty years of WrestleMania," and Cyndi Lauper was a huge part of the first one. If there is any time to induct her, it's now!
