WWE: 11 Top Stars Who Quit Over Creative Decisions

3. Hulk Hogan Bash At The Beach

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCOwWsXrGJM One of the most controversial creative relationships ever was between Hulk Hogan and Vince Russo in WCW. The pair had been effective creative cogs in their prime, Hogan helped to shape the cartoon era and Russo helped to shape the attitude era. But by the year 2000, both men were stale and their differences were ripping WCW apart. Something had to give. Hogan ended up losing the power struggle. It all went down at Bash at the Beach 2000, Hogan argued that he should win a title match with Jeff Jarrett but Russo demanded otherwise. The Hulkster had some creative control, so he legitimately had a say. It ended up transpiring that Jarrett simply laid down in the ring to allow Hogan to pin him without any wrestling taking place. Hulk complied and then took the mic to declare "Is this your idea, Russo? That's why this company is in the damn shape it's in, because of bulls*** like this!" Hogan then left the building and Russo came out to tell the audience that Hulk would not be seen again in WCW ... and he wasn't. It was all clearly the culmination of creative differences that had built up between Hogan and Russo. Some aspects may have been work, but the eventual outcome was very real, Hogan and Russo could no longer work together.
