WWE: 12 Wrestlers With Retirement On Their Mind

6. The Great Khali

Having recently been awarded United States citizenship, Khali now has little reason to remain in a working role with WWE. He has made good money in his 8 year career and aged 41 he is of an age that many talent start to think of winding their career in. With Khali his thoughts of retirement will be even more pressing, he knows that his giant condition is a physical strain, he knows he needs to put his body under less stress. You can tell from watching the star just how much he is struggling, even walking to the ring looks an effort for him. Travelling and bumping in the ring must be a real problem for him, retirement will be an appealing idea now that he is officially an American. As for WWE, the impact of Khali leaving is debatable. He offers nothing as an on screen talent, mostly either not being used or booked in short comedy moments. However, off screen he is arguably an asset. Many people point out the importance of Khali to the potentially huge India market and emerging Asian broadcasters. His departure could end up harming this key area that WWE are looking to develop new revenue in. Retirement Verdict: 2014
