WWE: 5 Worst World Champions During The Brand Extension

2. The Great Khali

Khali Cropped The only things that are preventing The Great Khali from being number one in this list are that he was actually booked quite strong when he first arrived in the WWE and at least looks like he could beat most people up in the ring (unlike The Miz, for example) due to standing at over 7ft tall. But in terms of his actual wrestling ability, or lack there of, he's amongst one of, not only the worst champions in history, but the worst superstars in history. Thankfully his World Heavyweight Championship reign in 2007 lasted only 61 days. He'd won the vacant title (vacated by Edge due to a legitimate injury) on the July 17 episode of Smackdown. Wrestling fans then rejoiced when he dropped the belt to Batista at Unforgiven in September that year. His 8 minute match with Batista at Summerslam a month prior, which Khali lost by disqualification (thus retaining his title), was like his title run - largely forgettable. Luckily, I do sometimes actually forget he was actually world champion. Then I remember. Damn it. It's quite amazing that The Great Khali has been 'future endeavoured' yet 7 years on. He's rarely used on the Raw or Smackdown, only brought in to put over a guy to aid their push, and has developed into a 'comedy' act. I try and also forget 'The Khali Kiss Cam' segments. He's often been placed in tag teams with other jobbers in the years since.
