Both Kairi Sane and Asuka joined the ranks of Damage CTRL on Friday's episode of SmackDown, and it looks like they'll be permanent members going forwards.

Sane had actually been drafted in at Crown Jewel last week, but fans wondered if that'd lead to a split between Bayley and IYO SKY. WWE creative could still go in that direction, of course, but they seem happy enough to continue exploring that as a slow-burner.

SKY and Dakota Kai explained to their leader that they brought Kairi in to help. That didn't go over well with Bayley at first, but all's well that ends well - CTRL is now much stronger than it was pre-SmackDown. Asuka turned on Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair during a bumper six-woman tag to end the episode, then posed with her new stablemates.

The interesting thing about that? Asuka had previously been feuding with the faction, but Triple H clearly fancied trying something new. There will be some fans disappointed that both Belair and Flair remain on the babyface side though.

WWE appears to have scrapped any plans to turn Bianca this year.
