WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (March 1)

2. Orton Steps Back

Why did WWE feel the need to take a step backward with Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton? This new detour they chose was a bad one. It€™s a waste of time and damaging to Orton€™s already badly damaged character. At Fastlane, Orton returned to beat up Rollins. That worked pretty well, as the crowd popped huge for his return. The following night, he caved, and that did not work well. For starters, why did The Authority want Orton back at all? They were the ones to kick him out of the group! Second of all, why did Orton, even for a second, want to re-join them? It was Stephanie who ordered Rollins to kill him! Luckily he survived, but didn€™t learn his lesson. He€™s so pathetic that he agreed to forgive his attempted murderers and team up with them in a boring tag match. Imagine any other hero in a TV show or movie who would forgive and forget like that. It seemed that Orton was pulling a fast one on the group, and at some point in the match would turn, and lay out Rollins with an RKO. That would have made sense, and made the crowd pop again. Instead, he actually tried to give another run in The Authority an honest chance! So now if he turns face, it€™s not because he€™s smart, or wants revenge, it€™s because The Authority doesn€™t want him a part of their stable again. I know Orton hears voices in his head, but he€™s listening to the wrong ones right now.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
