WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (March 20)
7. Something, Something, Booty
A few weeks ago, The New Day taunted The League of Nations unprovoked at Fastlane. It was 100% their own fault if things escalated any further. This week on Raw, New Day also cheated to defeat them in a match. The League then beat the hell out of them, exacting their revenge and we all cheered. Wait. New Day is supposed to be the good guys in all this? Why? A good heel-to-face turn, or vice versa, is supposed to be triggered by a good reason. The former bad guys realize they were in the wrong, have learned the error of their ways, and are now on our side. When a heel is obnoxious, gets beat up, and now theyre good because of it, well...thats not really a reason to like them. Besides the faulty logic of the set-up, we already saw New Day beat the League twice. So, another match feels pointless, even if it is storyline driven. Even more faulty is that its not like the post-match attack was all that devastating, because New Day was back in time for SmackDown. Also, New Day is becoming less funny, and more grating to listen to each week. I cant take it anymore! Booty Os. Why is that funny? Why does saying it over and over and over again (I counted nine booty references on Raw, and eight on SmackDown), count for something clever? I feel they sit down together, write down the word booty, and then think of a bunch of ways to use it without bothering to wonder if its actually funny or not. They think if they say it in a high-pitched voice it counts as a joke. If you disagree, no worries. We can still be friends. Just dont invite me over for Booty Os. Id rather be booty than listen to them talk about Booty Os anymore. Booty.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
