2. Only One Woman Wasn't Given An Elimination Success

There were slight grumbles when it was revealed that virtually the entire SmackDown female contingent would compete in one match at Backlash. Dubbed a Six-Pack Challenge, this elimination-style bout was set to determine the first Women's Champion on the brand. It was not viewed as a platform on which everyone involved could shine.

As things turned out, that judgement was wrong. At Backlash, almost every single woman involved in the Six-Pack was handed a moment in the sun, even if some were more brief than others. Naomi, Natalya, Nikki Bella, Carmella and Becky Lynch were all handed eliminations by those putting together the match.

The only one who wasn't was Alexa Bliss. Indeed, after cutting that scathing promo on the Kickoff show, Bliss was the first one to go. In a notable nuance, it took two women to beat her. Naomi pinned Alexa after hitting a Blockbuster from the top rope that coincided with a Natalya Powerbomb.

Natalya then made Naomi tap out to the Sharpshooter, Nikki Bella eliminated Natalya by pinfall, then Carmella beat Nikki with a roll-up before Becky picked up the last elimination on Carmella by submission.
