Batista talks in the new DVD about legitimately injuring his back in his final WWE pay per view match against John Cena. The bout was Over The Limit 2010 in an 'I Quit' match, with The Animal leaving WWE the next night due to being storyline injured. Ironically Batista would learn a year later that he was in fact suffering a compression fracture of his spine, which he reveals in the DVD was inflicted during that Cena contest. "The last pay per view I was in I broke my back and I only ended up getting surgery a year later," Batista states, "My leg was completely numb before, the surgery was the best thing I ever did." The Animal is then shown with Dr Joseph Maroon, the doctor who performed his spinal surgery (and the same man who recently worked on Daniel Bryan's neck). You can see Batista's emotion and appreciation for the work Maroon did. The doctor describes Batista as now functioning "like a twenty year old."
