WWE Crown Jewel 2025: 8 Nightmares That Could Come True

7. Australia Boos Roman Reigns Like It's 2019

This is unlikely to happen, because Peth’s wrestle-daft masses will surely be thrilled to see WWE’s biggest stars up close and personal, but Bronson Reed wrestling on a major card in his own country is a big deal. So, there might be some scattered booing for the OTC, especially deep into this “Australian Street Fight” when Bronson’s on top and scoring a few big near falls but Reigns keeps kicking out.

Reigns winning could even get jeers, assuming that’s the finish. If that happens, then he'd be forgiven for thinking he was right back in 2019 when people were downright sick of the 'Big Dog' pre-'Tribal Chief' reinvention. Back then, it wasn't uncommon to hear booing during Roman's matches or promos, but that's been no concern at all in more recent times.

Sure, he was booed as a heel, but that was the point. Since going babyface, Reigns has been greeted favourably by pretty much everybody buying tickets to Raw, SmackDown or PLEs, and WWE won't expect that to change soon. However, they did just book an Australian wrestler who's done really well for himself in a match that's even named after his country, so this could get dicey on the night.

Roman is in a holding pattern of grand comebacks, and it's a case of diminishing returns for him heading into the final few months of the year. Is it only a matter of time before the fanbase at large grows tired of him, or will any boos heard in Perth be down to local support for Bronson and nothing else?

Let's find out.
