Then: Otis and Tucker were still part of the NXT roster when the Greatest Royal Rumble went down on 27 April 2018. Somewhat strangely, only the latter bagged a spot in the 50-man match. Apparently, booking Hiroki Sumi and Hornswoggle was more important than giving Otis a slot. "Oooooh yeaaaaaah"? More like, 'Ooooooh noooooo'.

Heavy Machinery were about to land on the main roster at the time, so maybe it isn't the worst thing that Otis was spared an elimination. Tucker lasted over 10 minutes before he was cast out by future WWE Champion and iconic hip gyration machine Big E. It was a respectable showing from someone who was for all intents and purposes a developmental tag wrestler.

That was expected to change following his promotion with Otis to Raw or SmackDown.

Now: Truthfully, Tucker's fortunes didn't take much of an upturn. He did get featured on mainline shows for a while, but it quickly became apparent to everyone watching that Otis was the true star of Heavy Machinery. By the time he'd entered into a love interest storyline with Mandy Rose, trouble was brewing for "Tuuuuuckyyyyy".

Tucker turned heel on Otis in late-2020. That was supposed to elevate him, but it didn't. If anything, it came out of nowhere and wasn't what fans wanted to see. By April 2021, Tuck was being released from his WWE deal and that was that. He continued working on the independents until 2024 before announcing his retirement from the biz.

Sadly, that big Otis main event push that seemed to be in the pipeline when he won Money In The Bank also faltered, so their split didn't even lead to anything worthwhile.
