WWE Night Of Champions 2026: 8 Nightmares That Could Come True

5. The Steel Cage Match Is A Bore

It's a crying shame that injuries robbed Seth Rollins of a longer run as the man calling plays for The Vision. Injuries have blasted the entire faction into orbit throughout its run, being perfectly honest, but Seth's woes then exit from the group marked a real downer for them as a whole.

Arguably (and individual fans reading this will have their own opinions), Rollins is less dynamic as a babyface than he was as a villain. He proved that way back in the dark, dark days of 2019, and things haven't changed much. In 2026, he's pretty much an entrance with no real substance beneath it. It sucks to say that, and it may seem rather harsh, but yours truly is bored of babyface Seth.

That's causing some pre-show anxiety heading into Night Of Champions and his steel cage showdown with hard-hitting war dog Bron Breakker. Cage matches are a tough sell in the modern era, because WWE's brand can be a little formulaic. So, Rollins and Breakker are gonna have to find some quirky ways to keep the live crowd invested this weekend or face the consequences.

If this is going to be a blow off, then Seth may have to win and the Vision may have to split afterwards. There's value in Rollins challenging Roman Reigns or Cody Rhodes, and in Bron going at it in thumping efforts against Logan Paul, Austin Theory and perhaps the returning Bronson Reed.

That last one (Bron vs. Bronson) sounds like a match made in heaven for SummerSlam's midcard, but fingers crossed this steel cage clash isn't a snorefest first.
