9. Wrestlemania 4: Hogan vs Andre - This is the Rematch!

Andre had been enlisted by the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase to complete an evil plot of winning and selling the WWE Championship, with the aide of twin referees Earl and Dave Hebner. A 14 man tournament was constructed for Wrestlemania 4, due to the title being made vacant by on screen President of the WWE Jack Tunney. Hogan and Andre both received byes and the rematch was on. This contest failed to live up to the previous years encounter, or even Saturday Night's Main event from earlier in the year. Hogan had reigned as champion for just over 4 years prior to DiBiase and Andre conspiring, so change was brewing. Wanting to protect these two top talents and build a new young wrestler on the rise, WWE booked a double DQ finish that let Hogan and Andre take turns clobbering each other with a steel chair. This allowed the main event to come down to DiBiase and that young wrestler I spoke of, his name was Macho Man Randy Savage. The sight of Hogan and Andre going at it at any point was mythical for fans at this time. Hogan would be seen later helping Savage defeat DiBiase in the finals where he would once again swing the steel chair at a "bad guy," and start the team that would come to be known as The Mega Powers.
