Much has been made of WWE's renewed interest in a more high-flying style. The Cruiserweight Classic on the WWE Network was an undoubted success; it introduced fans of the company - who don't have much exposure to the independent scene - to some of the world's greatest flyers. Raw was a platform for these men to shine.

Brian Kendrick, Gran Metalik, Cedric Alexander, and Rich Swann were the ones chosen to battle it out for a shot at TJ Perkins and the new WWE Cruiserweight Title. Kendrick won, and will therefore face Perkins at Clash Of Champions for the belt.

The winner wasn't the real story here, but the length of the match probably slipped past most fans. Remarkably, the Cruiserweight Fatal-4-Way was the longest bout on this episode of Monday Night Raw. Incredibly, it went even longer than a Steel Cage Match main event between Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns.

In total, the Cruiserweights were given just over 15 minutes. By contrast, Owens and Reigns fell just below the 15 minute mark. This is a positive sign for the new division, provided WWE don't lose interest.
