With last night’s WWE Raw facing some extremely stiff competition, it comes as no surprise to hear that Raw suffered a ratings drop in comparison to its previous week.

As per Showbuzz Daily, this week’s red brand offering averaged 1.819 million viewers on the USA Network. That’s a significant drop on last week’s Raw Legends Night offering, which averaged 2.128 million.

For specifics, the first hour of last night’s show had 2.024 million viewers, the second 1.802 million viewers, and the third hour 1.632 million viewers.

The major competition that WWE faced this Monday was the College Football Playoff National Championship game between Alabama and Ohio State. To put it into perspective, that game pulled in an impressive viewership figure of 18.219 million.

While Raw suffered a drop from last week’s rating, one silver lining is that the 1.819 million average figure is far more impressive than the 14 December 2020 episode that hit a record low rating of barely 1.5 million viewers.

Many had wondered how Triple H’s purported return to action would fare for Raw’s ratings. And while anticipation was high as to just what would play out between the Game and Randy Orton, that couldn’t stop Raw’s continuous habit of seeing a ratings drop-off for its final hour.
