It looks as though WWE is continuing with their on-going releases, and one of NXT's announcers has become the next employee let-go in the process.

Alex Reyes (real name Alex Del Barrio) was released from his position as an announcer at WWE NXT on Thursday. The news was first reported by PWInsider and later confirmed by Reyes via Twitter. He had been working for WWE since last October.

Reyes is a lifelong wrestling fan, and working for WWE was obviously his dream job. He revealed this during a WWE.com feature interview where he discussed sending demo tapes to Stamford since 2004. He started doing this while attending Boston University, and it continued over the years until he was finally hired 11 years later.

WWE was not his first announcing gig, as Reyes spent time working for Booker T's Reality Of Wrestling promotion in Texas, as well as Lone Star Championship Wrestling, prior to his employment with WWE. While it is always disappointing to see someone released, it's even more so when it is someone who worked hard to achieve his dream job.

The release of Reyes marks the third announcer cut made by WWE recently. Kyle Edwards and Rich Brennan were also let-go by WWE previously.
