WWE Royal Rumble: Best Performances From Every Entry Slot
3. Ric Flair - 1992
The Nature Boy Ric Flair is the only man in history to win the Royal Rumble from the No. 3 position, outlasting 29 other men in the fifth ever Rumble in 1992. This was different to almost every other Rumble, with the exception of 2016, as the winner's prize was the vacant World Heavyweight Championship.
In over an hour of action, The Nature Boy eliminated four men before making it to the final two. The British Bulldog, The Texas Tornado, Big Boss Man, and Randy Savage all made way before Flair found himself one on one with Sid Justice.
After Hulk Hogan was eliminated to finish third, he hung around the ring, grabbing the arm of Justice, clearly unhappy at failing to win the Championship. Ever the opportunist, Flair took advantage of the situation, lifting his opponent over the ropes with the help of the already eliminated Hulkster to claim the title.
Since then, there have been 25 more Royal Rumbles, and no superstar has matched what Ric Flair achieved all those years ago.
