WWE Royal Rumble: Best Performances From Every Entry Slot
4. The Rock - 1998
No superstar has ever won the Royal Rumble from the No. 4 spot. In 1998, The Rock went from the fourth man in the ring to the penultimate man in the ring, finishing second behind The Rattlesnake.
The Rock made his way to the ring at an opportune time, after Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie had beaten each other up with steel chairs. Fast forward less than a minute, and the Intercontinental Champion had a dustbin over his head, taking hits from friends Jack and Charlie.
The first man The Rock eliminated was Ken Shamrock, the man he had defeated earlier in the night to retain his IC Championship, delivering a low blow to The World's Most Dangerous Man before hurling him over the top.
The only other elimination The Rock tallied came in the final three. While Farooq was fighting Austin in the corner, his Nation team-mate attacked him from behind, sending him out of the match. The end of Rock's night came after a Stone Cold Stunner, a sight we have come to love seeing over the years, and this one was no different.
