WWE Royal Rumble: Best Performances From Every Entry Slot
24. Hulk Hogan - 1991 & Stone Cold Steve Austin - 1998
Three giants of the sport have won the Royal Rumble from this position; Hulk Hogan in 1991, Stone Cold Steve Austin in 1998, and The Rock in 2000. While The Rock eliminated four men, including The Big Show, Hogan and Austin each eliminated seven.
Just one year after winning and eliminating six men from the No. 25 spot, Hogan won from No. 24, eliminating more men than anyone that year. Smash, Greg Valentine, Crush, The Warlord, Tugboat, and Brian Knobbs all fell victim to The Hulkster before he threw Earthquake over the top to become the first man to ever win the Rumble twice.
Seven years later, Stone Cold Steve Austin became the second man to win from No. 24. After being attacked before the match even started, The Rattlesnake still made it to the ring like a man possessed, dispatching of 8-Ball, Marc Mero, Thrasher, Kama Mustafa, Savio Vega, and Chainz, before hitting The Rock with a stunner and sending him out of the ring.
