WWE Smackdown Review November 4th - Daniel Bryan vs Mark Henry
Randy Orton vs Cody Rhodes in a Street Fight, Epico makes his debut against Sin Cara, and Daniel Bryan says he will cash in Money in the Bank at Wrestlemania.
Smackdown! November 4th 2011Street Fight Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes What a treat! Street fight starts off with exchanging of holds in the ring, until an Orton dropkick sends Rhodes to the floor. Randy follows but ends up getting sent into the steps. Orton manages a hangman on the top rope then pays back Rhodes sending him into the steps. Its not long before they fight out into the crowd through that area that always has no fans standing in it. Orton takes him back over the barrier and takes out a bagger for good measure. He throws Rhodes back in the ring, but he slides out the other side. He throws the other bagger into Randy, who drops him with an RKO to take us to commercial. When were back, theyre brawling on the top of the ramp and Rhodes rams Ortons head into the stage. Rhodes teases a suplex off the stage but Orton reverses and gives Rhodes one on the stage instead. Back down the ramp, Orton gets in some big shots and takes him back to the ring and gives him a big superplex. Rhodes manages a big dropkick and it looks like Randy Orton has been busted open too. Theres blood on Rhodes plastic mask that came from the top of Randys head. On the outside again, Rhodes surprises Orton with a shot from his mask as a weapon. Cody throws him over the announce desk then back into the ring. Front face suplex and a stomp on the face. Orton mounts a comeback but Rhodes counters again. Rhodes puts Orton in a Figure Four and Randy struggles. As Randy tries to fight out, Cody smacks him again with the mask. He charges and goes for another but Orton ducks, takes the mask and downs Rhodes with it himself. Orton sets up for the RKORhodes pushes him offSpringboard kick from Rhodes! Great timing. Two count only though. Sets up Cross Rhodes, Orton spins through, Back Body Drop. Rhodes slides out of the draping DDT and they go outside. Randy picks him and gives him the Draping DDT from the APRON to the FLOOR! Drags him back to the ringRKO!! One, Two, Three! That was great, can we start like this every week please? Michael Cole seems to be talking like this whole feud is over however. Orton lifts one of Codys bags and places it over his head for some poetic justice. Sheamus vs. Christian is also tonight apparently. Looks like theyre giving away some big matches. Kids Choice Awards footage for CM Punks nomination for Baddest Baddie and sliming some annoying kid. Matt Striker says hes about to do interview Henrybut doesntWhat was point in that? Ted DiBiase vs. Tyson Kidd Ted starts off with a great dropkick, Tyson responds with a kick to the back of the head and a low dropkick to the same head. Tyson then gets his face kick from the apron. Ted fights back and goes for Dream Street, Tyson rolls through and tries Sharpshooter. Ted kicks him off, tries Dream Street again, Tyson rolls through again. Ted holds on this time, picks him up and hits Dream Street! Ted DiBiase WINS a match. Now Matt Striker is actually doing something, and its interviewing Mark Henry. But Mark walks off mid sentence and accuses Daniel Bryan of eyeballing him. He wants to know if Bryan is thinking about cashing in on him. Daniel says hes waiting till Wrestlemania. Mark says he doesnt care, whatever Bryan has, he cant beat him. Mark Henry says hes gunna go to Long and get a match between them. Daniel says hell see him in the ring. Natalya vs. Alicia Fox Nattie works on Alicias leg. She puts her in a Boston Crab, which Cole calls a Sharpshooter. Alicia kicks out then manages a kick to the head. With Natalya down she flips on her with a leg drop. And thats three. Whut? Not a great finisher thatespecially after her leg was worked on just before it. Big Show comes to the ring and says hed rather fight than talk, but tells Mark Henry he has unfinished business. He says for every Smackdown that he doesnt get a rematch, hes going to knock Mark Henry. He even sings it, just so we get the idea. Christian interrupts. Christian claims he thought Big Show cued him out. Show is about to leave but Christian has to ask him why he thinks he deserves one more match for the World Title. Big Show explains that the ring broke. Christian explains he deserves one more match because everyone knows he deserves it. Big Show teases a punch on Christian, claiming his scratching his chin. He says ChristianIm not gunna knock you out. And instead gives him a Choke Slam. After the break, Christian is still regrouping and Sheamus comes out for their match. The referee explains to Sheamus that Christian cant competeluckily for the ref, Wade Barrett is coming out with a mic. He tells Sheamus its obvious Christian cant compete, so hell step in. Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett Sheamus is the one who takes early advantage despite some good strikes from Barrett. Christian sticks around holding his throat to sell the Choke Slam. Sheamus gets his clubs in the ropes which I will call the Irish Hand Grenade now thanks to Booker. Sheamus with the springboard shoulder. Wade comes back with more strikes and charges at Sheamus to boot him to ringside. That means an ad break, and when we come back a rest hold. Sheamus gets out of it, but Wade connects with a kick in the gut. Pump Handle Slam! Another knee in the back from Wade. Again Sheamus gets out. Again Wade takes him down, this time with a knee and a running kick to the head. Barrett gets a second rope elbow drop for two. Wade sticks the knee in the back againSheamus fights out again. He goes for the Cross but Barrett reverses with a back body drop. In the ring he makes a comeback and again tries the Cross. Christian gets on the apron, Sheamus drops Wade to go after him, Wade rolls him up for three! Sheamus wont let him away that easy and grabs him. He turns around and Christian Spears Sheamus to the mat. Christian raises Wades hand as they back up the ramp. After the break, Sheamus is assaulting Christian backstage, then rams Wade Barrett into a stack of poles. Wade and Sheamus brawl on the concrete until security backstage separate them. And the Usos. Big Show meets Daniel Bryan in the locker room. Big Show tells him hes going to be in his corner. Sin Cara vs. Epico This is Epicos debut in case you didnt know. Think Primo Colon if he was a few inches taller. Sin Cara goes for his handspring elbow but Epico drops him with two back drops and a German Suplex. High Double Arm Suplex! Sets up for a Powerbomb and into the Gory Special! Epico is getting some moves in. Sin Cara reverses then gets his rope walk arm drag. Big kick to the head follows that. Sin Cara goes to the top rope, out of nowhere is Hunico (dressed in stereotypical Mexican gang attire just like Mexican America in TNA.) Hunico shoves him off the top then he and Epico double team Sin Cara. Post match they give him a double team into a Power Bomb to take him out further. Daniel Bryan w/Big Show vs. Mark Henry Bryan tries a quick sleeper but Henry shrugs him off. Bryan goes to the strikes and kicks him a few times. Henry backs him into the corner and throws him outside. Bryan comes back in and takes an immediate boot to the stomach. They go outside and Henry takes Bryan into the post. Big Show chases after him but the ref gets in the way. Henry tosses Bryan into the ring. Mark puts all his weight on Daniels chest. Bryan tries to fight back with some more strikes and a low dropkick to the knee. Henry falls to his knees and Bryan gets vicious with the kicks as Big Show goes Bananas at ringside. Bryan covers him, Henry kicks out and Bryan goes all the way outside the ring. Back inside, Henry catches him off a dive, but Bryan gets him in a front face lock and takes him to his knees again. Mark gets him off again and starts laying in the strikes himself. Corner Splash from Henry. And another. And a third. Big Show has enough and he gets in the ring and uses the WMD punch on Henry. Thats a DQ. Mark is out cold and Big Show tries to get Bryan to come around and cash in his briefcase on Henry. He wakes him up with water and slides him in the ring. Bryan can barely stand and goes towards the ref but instead charges Henry with the case. Henry drops him with the Strongest Slam. Big Show runs back in but Henry decks him with the case then a Strongest Slam for him. This all brings out Teddy Long with a mic on stage. He makes the match at Survivor Series.
