Having not competed since the 22 August edition of SmackDown, there's now an update on the status of WWE's Piper Niven.

Recent reports note that Niven has been dealing with an injury, with some speculation that this could be a career-ending injury for the talented Scot.

Speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez didn't give any specifics on this injury, but said that it's "serious" and some within WWE fear it "could be career-ending". Following up on this, Fightful Select adds that the injury is a neck injury of some sort, but those whom the outlet has spoken to believe that Piper will be able to return to the ring. No further details are known at this stage.

These reports come on the heels of Chelsea Green stating that "Slaygent P" is currently out on a "top-secret special assignment", as Green looks to add potential reinforcements to her Secret Hervice.

As alluded, Piper Niven was last in action last month, picking up a win over Charlotte Flair on an episode of SmackDown, as she and Alba Fyre looked set to challenge Flair and Alexa Bliss for the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles. In Piper's absence, Chelsea Green stepped in to team with Fyre against the champs on last week's Smackers, where the Green Regime came up short.

A regular presence on weekly television through 2025 until recently, Piper Niven has been with WWE since 2019, initially starting in NXT UK before being moved to the main roster in 2021. Since then, she's held the WWE Tag Team Titles with Chelsea and is also a two-time WWE 24/7 Champion.
