It appears that WWE see value in using Braun Strowman as a means to prepare Shane McMahon for WrestleMania 33. On that pay-per-view, there's every chance that McMahon will star in another marquee match. Unfortunately, using Strowman as a makeweight doesn't really work in the long run for Monday Night Raw.

Last week, Shane took out Braun with a Cross Body over the ropes. Survivor Series will mark Strowman's chance to gain some revenge on the SmackDown Live Commissioner. Without doubt, the big man needs to get back at McMahon and eliminate him from the bumper Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown match.

Should that happen, Strowman has saved face. A nightmare scenario would be elimination at the hands of Shane, this would set Braun back quite a few steps. WWE need to ask themselves a question. Are they willing to sacrifice all that effort put into Strowman since the brand extension to make Shane McMahon look powerful?

Maybe management are more than prepared to cast Braun aside right now if it serves WrestleMania. Ideally though, Survivor Series is Strowman's night for retribution.
