WWE TLC 2013: 8 Reasons It Failed To Live Up To The Hype

8. Lack Of Tables, Ladders And Chairs On Undercard

tlc A pay per view called "Tables, Ladders, Chairs" implies that fans will be treated to some weapon action ... unfortunately WWE failed to deliver on the provision of weapons. Fair enough the main event was full of the stunt props, but the undercard was badly void of any special attractions. Half way through the audience impatience snapped, loud chants of "We want tables" rang through the Houston crowd. Viewers at home were not too happy either, the lack of any tables ladder or chairs on the undercard seemed to be the biggest gripe on social media. The problem for WWE is that they have conditioned fans to expect multiple gimmick matches on these pay per views. Personally I think less is more, I like the fact that the stunts got saved for one special match here - but the paying audience clearly didn't see it this way. The clamour for weapons was emphatic. The WWE could have perhaps booked a specific tables or ladder match somewhere on the card. The Langston vs Sandow match for example would have been infinitely more interesting if the only way to win was to put your opponent through a table. TLC 2012 had an undercard that featured a chairs match, a ladder match, a tables match and a TLC match. It was one of the best shows of 2012. This year WWE was way off the mark.
