WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Mar. 30)
3. No Hall In The Hall?
Say hello to the Bad Guy Razor Ramon, but just don't say hello to Scott Hall. Why must WWE be so confusing with its Hall of Fame? We've heard the rumors for months that Hall was going into the Hall , but now he's going in for a character that he played for only four of his 26 year career. It just seems odd. After all, Tito Santana is in the Hall of Fame, El Matador is not. Mick Foley is in the Hall of Fame, Mankind, Cactus Jack and Dude Love are not. And Ron Simmons is in the Hall, not Farooq. The video that aired on Hall's induction had nothing to do with his WCW career, where he was actually more popular. Yes, his greatest matches are from WWF, but it was his NWO run that had his biggest impact on the business by far. His debut was the first shot against the WWF when he joined WCW, as it started a wrestling war that changed the business forever. Even more confusing is that Hall also returned to the WWE as himself, not Razor Ramon when he battled Stone Cold at WrestleMania 18. But not one word of that was mentioned in his induction. It's speculated that Hall is going in as Razor so they can induct him later in the NWO. But what does that matter? Ric Flair is in the Hall of Fame twice, once for his singles career and also for his work in the Four Horseman. But now characters themselves are going in. Is Diesel next? How about Doink? And what about Rick Bogner, the man that also played Razor Ramon after Hall left for WCW? Does he count? Where does it end? Survey says? Just make it simple and induct Hall, chico.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
