4. No CM Punk
CM Punk was so fed up with the creative direction of the WWE that he just left. He didn't see out his contract, he didn't give the fans or the company any notice, he just left. The story has been told before, with Stone Cold Steve Austin also leaving the company abruptly. Stone Cold did eventually come back, some 8 months later. A lot of people think that this could be work, or that CM Punk will be back before Wrestlemania and I really hope they're right, but we really need to start accepting the fact that CM Punk is gone, and he may not be coming back. For many of us, these are sad times. CM Punk was one of the main reasons that I continued to tune into RAW on a weekly basis. His promo work is incredible and he was consistently putting on great matches with other top wrestlers. Without him, the product lacks a spark, in my opinion. In a world where almost everybody's promos sound the same, CM Punk mixed things up a little bit. He was responsible for a lot of the most entertaining segments over the last few years. If CM Punk doesn't come back before Wrestlemania, like I fear, then the show will be missing an essential ingredient and won't taste nearly as good because of it.
