WWE WrestleMania 30: 8 Possible Opponents For Triple H

5. Stone Cold Steve Austin

Stone Cold Steve Austin And now for something completely different. As we all know, Stone Cold Steve Austin hung up the boots back after his last official match against The Rock in 2003. Since that time, Austin has appeared off and on for the company, most recently as part of the WWE 2K14 promotion. But in all that time, he has not stepped into a WWE ring as a competitor. Could that change at WrestleMania 30? The notion of one more match for Austin has been hotly debated by fans for 10 years now. Some fans feel that Austin's career should be left as it stands; he has nothing left to prove and the only reason he would be coming back is for a payday. It should be left alone. However, many fans feel that Stone Cold still has one great run left in him. Call it nostalgia, call it wishful thinking, but for the man who is arguably WWE's greatest performer of all time, the desire to see him work one more match is as real today as it ever has been. But could that last match come against Triple H? The truth is that all Austin needs is to be provoked. Poke a rattlesnake with a stick and pay the price. All Hunter would need to do in order to get the wheels rolling on a match with Stone Cold is simply look in his direction. One insult, one cocky statement, one ill advised remark, could be all that Austin needs to throw a stunner and lace up the boots one last time. And the potential for this to happen materialized the moment that Triple H became WWE's on screen authority figure. Dealing out unfair decisions and abusing his power would likely not sit too well with the man who has traditionally always bucked authority. Austin could be the man to come back in and take care of the biggest heel in the company, stopping his power trip once and for all. But could it really happen?
