4. Daniel Bryan Wrestles Again (And So Too Does Shane McMahon)
Your writer is no Shane McMahon fan, but his display of heroism was almost realistic - unless exaggerated, he literally had no right showing the guts he did - and the synergistic story thread dangled between WrestleManias XXX and 34.
Shane sold and performed like a man out of his depth, for once, and since Sami Zayn hilariously sent up his terrible dancing and worked punches, he showed, even if indirectly, a little bit of "ass". But it was the Daniel Bryan show, brief though that show was. Almost stretchered out, WWE built perhaps unnecessary anticipation for Bryan's big comeback spot, but consider the reaction to hardcore favourites Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. You'd never have guessed that they are among the most beloved talents in the company.
In a tremendous moment laden with anxiety, Bryan, after performing his trademark front missile dropkick, mirrored the infamous events of his spring 2013 match with Randy Orton. Feeling out his extremities, the subsequent relief was as palpable as his timeless working skills were apparent: he kipped up to deliver a series of stiff, loud kicks to Sami Zayn's stomach, revelling in deafening "Yes!" chants.
At this point, WrestleMania 34, a really fun and emotive show loaded with diverse in-ring quality, was on course to equal WrestleMania X-Seven as the greatest in the history of the Grandest Stage.
