WWE WrestleMania 41: 7 Nightmares That Could Come True

WrestleMania 41 could be another big WWE swerve that turns into an illogical mess.

Be warned: There's pretty much zero room for WWE positivity here.

The clue's in the title. This is all about the worst of the worst that could blight WrestleMania 41 and turn it into a nightmare that makes matches like Big Show vs. Akebono or Vince McMahon vs. Bret Hart seem like world beaters by comparison. OK, maybe that's too far. Those will always be trash, but they might well be joined by a few friends come 2025's shindig in Las Vegas this weekend.

There are a few questionable matches littering the card on both nights, but that's not the biggest concern here. As Kofi Kingston used to say: 'Ooooooh nooooo'. Bigger worries come in the form of wrestling fans treating a popular champion like some unwanted piece of rubbish ready to be discarded because somebody's nWo-style heel cool has taken over. Think The Rock vs. Hollywood Hogan at 'Mania X8 for reference.

Other wobbles could come via important puzzle pieces being bizarrely absent from class during the biggest weekend of the year, and a soft/semi-Shield reboot that doesn't make a lick of sense when analysing WWE's recent TV output. Favours, favours, favours - Triple H wouldn't be doing any favours for his fanbase by booking this particular swerve.

WrestleMania has always been a classic that leads to annual binge-watching sessions of old favourites. Hopefully, the latest version is a winner too, but what if it's a nightmare instead? Shoot-style disasters, swerves for the sake of swerves, rebellious fans and even successive stinkers.

It's all here. Have fun!

7. Braun Strowman Stops Jacob Fatu

What Could Happen: Fire-breathing, moonsault-giving, monster-bloodying ex-New Bloodline beast Jacob Fatu is just about to win the United States Title from LA Knight. Solo Sikoa has come to ringside and could get involved in the finish, but no - instead, it's Braun Strowman who makes the difference by making sure his regular rival doesn't leave Las Vegas with the gold.

Why It'd Be A Nightmare: If anyone's going to cost Jacob, then it must be the man who professes to have his best interests at heart. That's right, Sikoa. "I love you, Solo" has turned to, 'Meh, not sure about you' in recent times, and Sikoa is the only one who needs to try steal back some respect from Fatu. If anyone.

Truth be told, this should be Jacob's night. It's true that Knight is great, but he'd survive staring at the lights for Fatu and making sure Triple H has all the means to turn the brute into a WWE megastar who blows up as a main eventer later in the year. It'd be crappy if Braun interfered to blast Fatu through a table behind the ref's back and make sure he doesn't win.

Stay away, Mr. Monster!

Don't bet against something like this happening so WWE's creative team can squeeze one more match out of the Fatu vs. Strowman rivalry and possibly so Jacob can return the favour by stopping Solo from winning the belt himself come Backlash. Sure, there's no call for Braun's intrusion, but that doesn't mean the writers won't shove it in there just to get Strowman on the show somehow.
