16. Billy Gunn & Chuck Palumbo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4mrRVBt71M In 2001, Chuck Palumbo defected from the ECW/WCW Alliance to join the then-WWF. Soon he began teaming with Billy Gunn, and the duo was your garden-variety, generic babyface tandem. That was until they began to grow more affectionate towards each other. Referring to themselves as "Billy & Chucky," they sported matching red spandex, headbands, and bleached hair. Their mannerisms and antics strongly suggested that the two were in a homosexual relationship and that was made clear the night Chucky proposed to Billy on an edition of SmackDown! Billy accepted and the media frenzy began with news outlets and dirtsheets talking about WWE making history with their first televised commitment ceremony. Just before the two officially tied the knot, the guys broke down and announced that they weren't really gay and that the entire ordeal was a publicity stunt, orchestrated by their over-the-top stylist Rico Constantino. Rico was furious with his tag team for ruining everything but little did anyone realize that the decrepit preacher leading the ceremony was the nefarious General Manager of RAW, Eric Bischoff. Bischoff summoned his tandem known as 3-Minute Warning to destroy the "grooms" and Stephanie McMahon (SmackDown! General Manager) who was invited as a witness for the wedding. The two continued to work together as a tag team until Billy had to take time off for a shoulder injury, leading to the quiet disbanding of the tandem.
