Roman Reigns regaining the WWE Universal Champions from 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt at Payback 2020 last weekend drew a typically mixed response on social media, with 'Big Dog' fans celebrating following the long-awaited heel turn, and critics complaining incessantly - as they are prone to doing whenever Reigns so much as lifts a finger.

SmackDown's new kingpin took the time to respond to one such tweeter in the small hours of this morning, calling himself "the best performer of this generation."

Here's how it went down:-

A strong claim from the big man, though it's all part of his new persona. We're yet to hear Roman open his mouth much since returning, though he inflicted a brutal, dominant beatdown on Wyatt and Braun Strowman at SummerSlam 2020, then followed up by defeating the duo at Payback the following week. This came just one week after 'The Fiend' had pinned 'The Monster Among Men' to become a two-time Universal Champion himself.

Now affiliated with Paul Heyman on SmackDown, it'll be interesting to see what Reigns does next. Here's hoping he at least finds the time to keep shooting critics down on social media, anyway.
