10 Amazing Comic Books You're Probably Ignoring

7. Lois Lane

Justice League Dark Wonder Woman Helmet of Fate
DC Comics/Mike Perkins

Lois Lane is one of the industry's greatest female characters, and this twelve issue series is a great example of why she's earned that reputation. Written by Greg Rucka and drawn by Mike Perkins, this maxi series highlights Lois' skills as a reporter as she follows a story with huge ramifications while emphasizing the dangers in and importance of reporting the truth.

The series gives readers an in depth look into the lives of reporters, which is something that we don't get enough of from either the Action Comics or Superman books, even though they both feature Lois and the other members of the Daily Planet.

Anyone that still believes the misconception that Lois is nothing more than an object waiting to be saved by Superman needs to read this series and see what makes Lois great.

She's determined, hard-working, and stubborn in her search for the truth, while also being a funny, witty, and loving mother and wife.
