Dick Grayson is, by all accounts, the most interesting comic book character in the entire medium. Not just because he's a brilliant hero, but because he's one of the only characters we've seen grow over the course of the last 75 years.

He's been Robin, Nightwing, Batman, an Agent of Spyral - all different identities at different stages of his life. Sure, the ageing seems to have suddenly stopped, but there's no denying Dick's appeal, particularly when he's been taken to so many different places over the course of his history.

Going back to Batman: Reborn, people weren't all too enthused by the concept of Grayson replacing Bruce. To many, the thought of anyone other than Wayne donning the grey and blue was repellant, despite the fact that, if anyone were to replace Bruce, his first ward was by far the best candidate to do so. He quickly set about proving the nay-sayers wrong however, placing his own stamp on the identity and redefining what it actually means to be Batman in the process.

It really is difficult to overstate just how important a run Morrison's was on the character, and while Dick later resigned from the role, it's a period in his life no one will soon forget.
