6. Superman Tried To Get Rid Of All The World's Kryptonite

When Batman and Superman heard that Hollywood was adapting a movie about their lives, they sneaked near the set to check it out. The Man of Steel realised the film crew had Kryptonite on stand-by because they were going to shoot a scene where the Kryptonian was weakened. When Supes saw this, it shook him to his core because he realised that Kryptonite was so common, a movie crew was able to easily find a sample. In this moment, Superman decided to round up all the Kryptonite on Earth and destroy it.

Now, that's easier said than done. There are boulders of Kryptonite littered in the sea. Lex Luthor hid caches across the globe loaded with the stuff. Even the Joker has a Kryptonite shard hidden in his teddy bear!

Covering himself in a lead suit (which protects him from the effects of Kryptonite), Superman travelled the world, collecting every one of these green rocks he could find.

Although he managed to get rid of tons of the deadly metal, little Kryptonite meteors crash into Earth all the time and will continue to do so for centuries. Sadly, Superman will never be able to truly rid himself of his greatest weakness.
