Though Batman: Last Night on Earth is currently only at a criminally low two issues, it's more than outdone itself in such a short space of time.
This is best shown in the series' opening issue, which features a simply unforgettable moment where the Dark Knight finds his archenemy years after the world is turned into a wasteland. That is, he finds the still-living severed head of the Joker, which he then decides to take on his travels, making the comic become the buddy cop drama of your apocalyptic dreams.
The imagery alone is enough to swing this as one of the best comic moments of 2019, as seeing Batman claw the head of the Joker out of Gotham's wreckage so the two can face the apocalypse together is nothing short of phenomenal, especially as it's so entirely unexpected.
