3. X-Force #1

Superior Spider Man #1 2019
Marvel Comics

Spinning from the events of Extermination, where a young version of Cable killed the mainstream Cable, X-Force comes together to track him down to retribution, which leads them to Transia, a fictional country between Romania and Serbia, and still operating as though it's a Soviet satellite by how they act.

Meanwhile, Young Cable, breaks into a science lab to save Deathlok of all random characters. In the end, though, Cable is pinned for the murder of the president of the country, which is in secret a military coupe, that leads to a news broadcast calling for the eradication of all mutants in Transia.

This book ends in a very different place than it starts but that is what makes it brilliant. It is an adventure piece that takes 23 pages to introduce every character and their personalities, an understanding of the premise of the book and bring an air of action-comedy into what could be an ungodly violent book.

It is a return to form, taking X-Force back to the utter insanity that made the team popular. The art can be a little iffy at times, but because of the breakneck speed, it never becomes a detriment and even ramps it up a bit.
