You wouldn't think that reading about a blind man partake in a poker tournament would be the most interesting story to tell in a Marvel comic, where gods and monsters are the norm.

Yet, the way it is told in this book is frankly brilliant, especially when you factor in the fact that Matt's opponent is a telepath and, during the entirety of the game, they are battling each other inside his mind.

The scene is a surreal one, with the telepath's attempts at entering Murdock's mind being visualised in the form of a traditional fight, the backdrop and weapons being used constantly changing over the course of the brawl. Thanks to Soule and Sudžuka, every other telepathic battle now seems like the work of an amateur, what with this one being so special.
