10 Characters Who Could Return In Marvel Legacy
1. Fantastic Four
The Fantastic Four are the most obvious choice to come back in Marvel Legacy. This is the book that kicked off the Marvel Age of Comics and was Marvel's flagship title for years. The Fantastic Four ran consistently from 1961, before being cancelled for the first time in 2015. Since then, the team has been largely ignored. Ben and Johnny have remained in different comics, but the team as a whole is currently nonexistent.
It's no secret that the major contributing factor in cancelling the Fantastic Four is deeply rooted in Fox having the film rights to Marvel's First Family. Since the cancellation, the relationship between Fox and Marvel has seemingly improved, with the companies making some recent film and TV deals.
Taking away this pillar of comics has weakened Marvel as a whole, and fans have felt that void. An announcement has been made that Ben and Johnny are going to be starring in Marvel Two-In-One, looking for the Richards family. Whatever happens in the Marvel Legacy one-shot could be what pushes them towards their search.
Marvel's entire legacy - if you will - starts with the Fantastic Four. If they want to go back to what makes telling classic comic book stories great, it's time to bring back the characters that changed the medium forever.
