1. Alpha The Ultimate Mutant (Marvel Comics)

Alpha the Ultimate Mutant was created artificially, by Magneto, to be... well... the ultimate mutant. After being imprisoned in the centre of the Earth by the Avengers, Magneto escaped. En route to the surface, he stumbled upon the ruins of a long-lost technologically advanced civilisation below New Mexico. Using the machinery and books he found among the ruins, he bio-engineered Alpha. Alpha possesses telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation, forcefield generation, transmutation, the ability to bring inanimate objects to life and a continuously increasing intellect which means he is a genius of a level beyond human comprehension and which grants him a form of cosmic awareness (allowing him to perceive things others don't and know that things are going to happen before they actually do). His appearances in the comics have been rare, so he isn't widely known and hasn't fully shown what he is capable of but, regardless, he has shown himself to be incredibly powerful and versatile. He has easily defeated characters such as the Hulk (by transmuting him in to stone), Valkyrie (by fusing her feet to the ground) and Nighthawk (by telekinetically spinning him at great speed until he became unconscious) and is an extremely dangerous foe. So there you have it - ten comic book characters with extremely versatile powersets. Did you enjoy this list?
