10 Comic Book Characters Who Wouldn't Translate To Live-Action Movies

9. Dogwelder

Dazzler Marvel
DC Comics

It may have been a moment of temporary insanity for creator Steve Dillon. His mind's offspring, Dogwelder, comes by his name honestly. He welds the bodies of dead dogs to criminals' faces.

Dogwelder (real name unknown) began his "career" as a member of Section 8 - a ragtag group founded by alcoholic member Sixpack. When the group disbanded, he took his dog-welding show solo. Marvel's own website lists Dogwelder's abilities as "Dog welding". That's it.

DC's description of his "weapons" is as follows: "Dogs: Dogwelder welds dogs to people". They really don't bury the lead with this one. To add to his already vibrant likability, Dogwelder traps and kills the dogs himself before affixing them to people's puckers.

So, is there more to Dogwelder than just dog welding? Nope. He never speaks. He never shows his face, and his only listed weakness is "a strong compulsion to weld dogs to people's faces".

At best, Warner Bros. could rope in a Steve Buscemi type to make a Dogwelder cameo in the next Suicide Squad. In the astronomical chance that happens, remember that you read it here first.
