So Eric Stephenson made perhaps his biggest mark on the comics world with the arrival of 'Nowhere Men'. But his latest series 'They're Not Like Us' isn't something to overlook. In fact, if you have a passion for deep storytelling (minus the horrible exposition), good music and the question of the human condition, then 'They're Not Like Us' is definitely a series you need to check out. TNLU examines a world in which a small few are gifted with special abilities, and the theory that with great power comes great angst, not great responsibility. It tackles hard hitting issues, such as suicide and depression and is laced with beautifully poignant musical references throughout. Counterculture and pack mentality is a central point of the series and the most obvious musical nod that isn't directly referenced on page would be to The Manic Street Preachers, with the title of each issue so far taking the name of a Manics song.
