3. Doctor Doom (Marvel Comics)
Marvel ComicsDoom's costume is actually not quite as technologically advanced as Kang the Conqueror's (Doom has even admitted this himself, which is very unlike the man), but it finds itself ahead of Kang's on the list for two reasons; the first being that it is still extremely useful in terms of its functions and the second being that it looks a hell of a lot better. It's a very frightening costume (as verified by some of us who walked past a "statue" of Doom at Islands of Adventure in Florida, only to find that it was actually a man dressed up, so it moved and scared us to death as children, will verify) and one that portrays power in a big, big way. The regal green cloak held on by two large golden buttons, the mysterious green hood and the metallic armoured suit that includes a terrifying face mask all comes together to make a terrifying ensemble. Gadgets and amenities in the suit grant Doom powers such as a powerful forcefield, freeze powers, electrocution powers, energy blasts, twin jet-packs, infra-red vision and splinters from the true cross to ward off vampires (preparation at its best).
