10 Directors Who Need To Step Into The Marvel Cinematic Universe

3. Jennifer Kent

Jennifer Kent is one of the most talented directors working today. Her film The Babadook has already made its way into the horror hall of fame and is often acclaimed as one of the best horror films of the 2010s. The story deals with depression and loss, and it makes for an incredible allegory of both of these aspects of life.

This is why Jennifer Kent would be the perfect choice to adapt Moon Knight for the MCU.

Moon Knight is a hero who regularly deals with schizophrenia and blending this with Kent's storytelling would be a perfect storm, creating a unique entry in the MCU. Seeing a hero who is struggling with these issues would add a weight to the MCU. We had a brief glimpse of this in Iron Man 2, drawing upon the Demon in a Bottle storyline. However, it was never followed up on.
