Deadpool has recently had a massive surge in popularity, not just because of the 2016 film adaptation but also due to some stellar writing in the comic world over the last decade.

In 2013, the latest volume of Deadpool had Wade Wilson face zombified American presidents, SHIELD, and Count Dracula. During this run, the Merc' with the Mouth also got married to a succubus and discovered that he had a long-lost daughter.

These aren't just some of the best stories of Deadpool in recent memory, but of all time. Funnily enough, a lot of comic fans have no idea they were written by Brian Posehn. This Emmy-nominated comedian has starred in so many great shows like Steven Universe, The Mandalorian, The Big Bang Theory, and The Sarah Silverman Project, it's hard to pinpoint him in any one thing.

With his co-writer, Gerry Duggan, Posehn co-created over forty issues of Deadpool, which has proven to be possibly the most consistent run of the Canadian superhero's adventures.

Also, the decision to turn Deadpool into a father allowed the character to take on a more paternal role, which is a side we had never seen before.
