In Marvel’s considerable run time, there’s been a fair few weird and wonderful backstories – especially for villains. This is most true of the golden age of comic history, as writers knew they needed a solid roster of bad guys, and were more than willing to throw everything they could think of into these backstories until they hit on something good.

Although not the kind of good they were aiming for, the villain know as the Wicked Wall is definitely a brilliant back-story – mainly due to how hilariously ridiculous it is.
