10 Insane Alternate Versions Of The Thing You Won't Believe Exist

In Marvel's Infinity Warps, one of the more off-the-wall crazy insane comic events of recent years, Gamora used the Infinity Stones to fold the universe in half. This created a world of brand new heroes and villains, all of whom were the result of two characters being merged into one. What resulted were some pretty wild combinations, including a Kang the Conqueror/Ms. Marvel combo, Kamala Kang, and a Ghost Rider/Black Panther fusion, creatively titled Ghost Panther.

Naturally, this folding turned the Fantastic Four into the Terrific Two, and the Thing was merged with the Human Torch to create the ever lava-in' Hot Rocks. There honesty wasn't much to Hot Rocks, being pretty much just 'the Thing but on fire'. He was partnered with Mister Invisible, who had the powers of invisibility, force fields, and super-elasticity.

However, the fun did not stop there. In the follow-up event Secret Warps, the Infinity Stones folded the universe in half once again, leading to even more insanity. Hot Rocks and Mister Invisible joined forces (and bodies) to become Reuben Storm, the Wonderful One!

With the combined powers and ego of every member the Fantastic Four, the Wonderful One was a hodge-podge pick-and-mix of distinct super-powers, contrasting personalities, and terrible puns.

By the end of the Secret Warps event, the Thing had merged not only with his teammates, but with Scarlet Witch, X-23, Captain Marvel, and Justice Peace. That's right: this version of the Thing was eight heroes for the price of one.
